Portland Bloggers Events: Speed Networking
They say it’s all about the first impression.
Join Portland Bloggers at Cyril’s at Clay Pigeon Winery on Saturday, March 8th from 2:30pm until 5:30pm and learn the art of the first impression through the opportunity of having up to 40 of them consecutively! We will be quickly noting methods behind developing the ever elusive “elevator speech” (aka fitting your whole life/business/dream into a 20-30 second spiel and still keep your personality–not to mention the other person’s interest!), but then it’s straight to the talking! Attend and learn useful tools in ensuring that the connection you make will lead to a long and prosperous business relationship.
The afternoon will consist of multiple rotations with approximately 4-5 minutes per round. Each blogger will have the opportunity to share about themselves and what they do, and from there the possibilities are endless! Pens, paper, and name tags will be provided to aid in keeping everything straight, and at the end, you may even end up deciding to stick around for dinner at Cyril’s to talk further with a new found business associate or friend! A huge thank you to Cyril’s at Clay Pigeon Winery for their support in donating their gorgeous restaurant, urban set winery, as well as food and drinks for this event!
Business cards are highly encouraged in order to have an easy way to contact those you meet later on, and for those that do not have cards yet, well, we’re here to help! Thanks to the amazing Macey Snelson of Incomplete Magazine, we are providing a great blank template for easy to fill in business cards. The link to the template is provided with your ticket confirmation email. It’s an easy way to allow people to follow up with you without the stress of designing new cards. Our sponsor Moo is also offering 15% off and flat rate $4 shipping to the event and its attendees! You will find the affiliate link in the confirmation email after purchasing tickets! We will also be giving away a $50 gift card at the event for Moo!
The event will be captured by the incredibly talented Aubrie LeGault of Aubrie LeGault Photography.
