Blogging Quick Tip: Following Up After Your Networking Event

“If you attended our Speed Networking event, chances are you acquired a few business cards and a handful of new acquaintances. One way to turn those acquaintances into friendships and collaborations is to reach out to them post-event. Sure, you can follow them on Instagram and like their pictures. You can even like their page of Facebook or add their blog to your daily feed. But if you really want to connect with your fellow bloggers, reach out to them in a more personal way. Send them a Tweet that says you enjoyed meeting them at the event. Post a thoughtful comment on one of their blog posts. You could even leave a nice message for them on their blog’s Facebook page. In any case, use the contact information that you received at the networking event, and don’t be shy.” -Rachel Sedaker, Blog Master for Portland Bloggers and blogger at Tossing the Script, also found on Twitter: @tossingthscript
