Portland Whole Living & Budget Living Blogs
Hi! I’m Natalie. I’m closer to 30 than 20. By day, I’m a PR and social media specialist; by night, I’m, well, still a PR and social media specialist since PR isn’t really a 9-5 job. But during my free time/Sunday evenings/day dreams, I love exploring new things in food, travel, and tech. I’m a self-proclaimed geek, Disney-nerd, and movie enthusiast. I’m not an “expert” in anything in particular, but I don’t think you have to be – get out there and explore any adventure you wish!
Any Adventure is a lifestyle and culture blog featuring recipes, book reviews, geek/pop culture news, travel guides, and more. One day I might be experimenting with a new gluten free pie recipe, the next I might be exploring a new town on the Oregon coast, and the next I might be crafting a new cosplay for a local con. You may occasionally catch a glimpse of my husband, Kevin, and our three cats – Soxy, Detective Mittens, and Ali.
I love trying new things and hope to inspire you to do the same. Because every once in awhile, something goes better than expected. Through this blog, I hope to remind myself and others to notice the little unexpected intrusions of beauty in life, and never stop pursuing adventure
How do we use our days when money is not in focus? When all expectations are set aside, where does our energy naturally flow? What does our life look like when we construct it in freedom – with ease and while contributing in ways that make us feel happy and connected?
We’ve just started our ‘expansive lifestyle experiment’ in Portland. We are full time explorers, micropreneurs and women on a mission – to track our greatest sense of joy and contribution.
I was paying $800 a month in credit card INTEREST ONLY. The ship was sinking fast!! I was living a very modest life, but there were many months were my income as an entrepreneur was not paying the bills. I also had money tied up in physical inventory in my business that was sitting in a cold warehouse.
It was bleak, so I decided to write about it.

My goal at Frugal Family Home is to help homemakers to live within their budget. I share advice and encouragement in the form of kitchen tips and gardening tips. I also share how to’s, recipes, freebies and encouragement.
Growing Up On OM chronicles my life as I embark on this next chapter of post-college life, including yoga teacher trainings and moving across the country from NYC to PDX.
Kelly’s Sustainable Life is a space where I take the time to share my thoughts and experiences related to living a lifestyle that allows me to do my part to conserve resources and preserve the planet. I am well aware that the word “sustainable” is overused and misused to the point where it’s meaning has been lost. As much as it is overused, I still believe it is an accurate and succinct way to describe the way I live my life because I want my lifestyle to be attainable by everyone every day, and not something just for those who have the time and financial resources.
