I am on an adventure to mindfully savor food. In my blog I chronicle my kitchen creations and my quest to eat mindfully, to slow down and enjoy the smells, textures, and colors of food. I firmly believe it’s not about what you eat but how you pay attention. Full attention during a meal can mean you derive more satisfaction from just a few bites, than you might get by eating a whole big meal while distracted. I will share what I learn along the way.

I grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania watching my mom sew and admiring all hand crafted items. When my three children (all born in Johnstown– and one working at Google today) were young, the friend who watched my children, Yvonne, hand quilted beautifully pieced quilts at her home. With each visit, Yvonne’s quilting skills captured my interest. Over time, I picked up the basic quilt piecing skills and practiced hand quilting, while working on a college degree at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, pursuing part time work, student teaching, and raising my children.

By producing my own content, creating and publishing on my own website, and connecting personally with brands, I have
experienced all sides of the spectrum and have chosen to go in a different direction, outside of the norm of a typical Blogger.
I seek to create a bond between genuine brands and the consumer–to connect the best brands with the best people.
I work closely with brands and help market them to be exactly what their target consumer is looking for. By keeping
them up to date on everything media-wise, I help to connect them with the most relevant promoters for their brand.
